Environmental terrorism presents unique challenges to both national security and international stability. Our first goal is to build widespread public and governmental recognition that environmental terrorism exists as a distinct threat and to foster a clear understanding of the risks it poses to communities, economies, and ecosystems around the world.
In response to greater public and governmental recognition of environmental terrorism, we hope to collect and help create the academic resources necessary to better understand and analyze this emerging threat. By supporting research, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and making knowledge more accessible, we aim to establish a stronger foundation for evidence-based policy and security planning.
We hope to support and inspire the creation of industry-specific roles, protocols, and best practices designed to protect the systems that sustain modern society. From water utilities and agricultural operations to forestry agencies and critical infrastructure providers, organizations must be equipped to identify, prevent, and respond to environmental threats before they become crises.
